A beautiful, solid hundred frame crafted from smooth walnut wood featuring 100 dimples for counting and filling. Each frame comes with one hundred wooden balls for endless activities.
Perfect for counting from 1-100, practicing maths equations, cardinal directions and so much more! Fill the grooves with stones, dried chickpeas, petals or alphabet and number coins (which can be added separately here).
Board measures approx 29 x 29 x 2cm. Please note the wooden bowl and coins do not come with the board and is used for photographic illustration only. You can purchase our coconut bowl here and coins here.
The engraved lines on the board help the child "subitize" numbers, which means they can perceive the number of items in a group quickly without counting each item individually. It is based on groups of five and whether it is more or less than five. They'll learn the number seven is five and two more. Or forty-three is the fourth row down and three dimples over--all without counting all forty-three dimples.
Practice skip counting by placing balls only in the number you're working on such as 3, 6, 9, etc. Notice the patterns that emerge.
Play games such as rolling a dice and adding that many balls to the board (starting at the top left corner). Then roll again and add that many. Continue until the board is full.
Age recommendation 3+. Product contains small balls which may pose a choking hazard. Adult supervision is recommended at all times. Clean with a damp cloth, do not submerge in water.
